There were three separate occasions in elementary school when I convinced myself I was going to write a novel. I’m not talking about at some point in my life. I’m talking about right then and there. Somewhere deep in the files of my parents’ old, dusty desktop lie a few chapters about God knows what, and somehow it still wasn’t until a decade later that I began to consider myself a writer.
Born and raised in Austin (if you need proof, email me) by two of the most creative people I know, I was always encouraged to express myself in inspiring ways. Growing up, I wanted to be a singer, dancer, actor, and model, but seemingly almost serendipitously, all roads led to copywriting. Who needs the Grammys when you’ve got the Addys, amiright? In my spare time, however, I still enjoy writing songs and acting out TV interviews as my alter rockstar ego alone in my bedroom.
All jokes aside, writing has always been how I make sense of the world. I can't wait to make a little sense of yours.
